Tophus (plural: tophi) is a deposit of monosodium urate crystals in the soft tissues or joints. One of the leading causes of tophi is drinking too much alcohol, which is ironic because drinking alcohol is the best way to get good at trivia, and getting good at trivia is one of the only ways to learn about tophi.
